» From your pictures and video it looks like Flavor of Italy is in the country far from Rome. We want to spend our days touring Rome’s sites. Will that be possible?
Flavor of Italy is in a gorgeous country setting but is part of Rome’s metro system. You can jump on a train every 10 minutes and be in the heart of the historic center in 20 minutes.

» Do we need to rent a car?
It’s not absolutely necessary (we drive our guests to and from the metro station and local restaurants) but it will add to your enjoyment. A car allows you to explore some spectacular places you would not see otherwise. We recommend a very affordable rental car company, www.autoeurope.com.

» Is parking available at Flavor of Italy?
Ample, free parking is available.

» Do you have phones in the rooms?
No; we offer something better. Guests are provided with a cell phone during their stay. Not only can you make all the calls you need to when at Flavor of Italy, but you can reach us at any time when you are out for the day.

» Do you provide transportation to and from the airport, and the port?
We work with top quality, reasonably priced private drivers and will be happy to arrange airport and port pick up for you.

» Can you suggest tourist free restaurants we can try while visiting Rome?
That will be almost impossible in the center of Rome. Flavor of Italy is located in a charming, tourist free area so you can count on dining in quaint, tourist free restaurants near our location.

» Can you help us organize our itinerary, including some unique, “off the beaten track” tours?
Flavor of Italy prides itself on customer service and will work with you on your trip planning. We also offer some wonderful tours and culinary programs of our own.

» Sustainable and green travel is important to us. Does Flavor of Italy adhere to a sustainable, eco-tourism philosophy?
Flavor of Italy shares this concern for the environment. We follow a sustainable, “farm to table” approach in meal preparation and purchase fresh, in season ingredients from local purveyors. We recycle and encourage our guests to do the same. We have a strict waste management policy. We minimize energy consumption and are currently installing solar panels to take advantage of the abundance of Italian sunshine.

» Do you have adapters for our plugs or do we need to purchase these before our trip?
We have plug adaptors, but not currency adaptors. Take your appliance to a good electronics store and show it to them. They will tell you what you need; every appliance is different.

» Do you have hairdryers in the rooms?
Every room has a hairdryer.

» Do you have internet at Flavor of Italy?
Internet, and a computer, are available in the guest common area.

» Is smoking permitted in the rooms?
No. Flavor of Italy is a non-smoking facility.
